Is sex without the benefit of marriage wrong?
Sexuality is not expressed through socially approved bureaucracies, sexuality is expressed individual to individual, heart to heart, and self to another.
One must develop in one's own life the meaning of love, the meaning of respect, the meaning of morality which itself is composed of love, respect, honesty, and consideration of consequences.
The important priorities for sexual relationships include sincerity, honesty, openness and having genuine regard and respect for each other, as well as taking measures to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
The major sin in sex is to use others, to string along or mislead another person simply to satisfy one's carnal appetites. To mislead another for the use of their body only is indeed an egregious sin.
Reflect upon adultery
All love is here now, the asking of an important question about sexual relations outside the bonds of marriage.
Adultery is a seemingly innocuous event especially if the other spouse doesn't learn about it, a simple indulgence, a surrendering to an everpresent temptation.
But adultery is a potent act with a terribly destructive energy, and has the power to devastate another person, many other people.
It violates a bond, a sacred bond, an intimate bond, a bond implicit or explicit, spelled out or simply understood. For marriage is a sacred bond between two souls.
Adultery has the potential to profoundly wound, deeply hurt other souls and thus is unallowable.
Because adultery is a sexual union without a consideration of consequences, it is improper.
Is divorce wrong?
All love is here, a question about divorce, a parting of the ways, an agreement to end the marriage bond. The agreement to divorce exists solely between the souls involved, and is not innately wrong or sinful. In childless marriages, there is simply a parting of the ways.
But if there are children in the marriage being severed, the divorce must be weighed much more seriously - all efforts must be taken to save the marriage if children are involved, for a divorce, a breaking of a family bond, can be profoundly damaging to the children involved.
In marriages with children, there are serious consequences to understand, and to deal with when considering a divorce. Every effort must be made to preserve the marriage.
