When is sex sinful?
All love is here, the asking of a question about ethics, the ethics of sexual interactions between people.
Sex is an interaction between two people; it is an interaction of all that they are, and think, and feel. And like all interactions sex is judged by the honesty, the regard and respect one has for the other. To have sex without regard or respect for another is sinful always.
What is fornication?
Fornication is an orientation more than an act, an attitude, a way of treating and dealing with others.
To be involved in fornication is to let one's life, one's values and beliefs be totally dominated by the searching out of sexual experience, and to use other people, use one another for sexual gratification without regard for the other person’s soul, dignity or integrity.
"Though shalt not commit fornication"; though shalt not use others only for self's gratification, the operative word being "use."
To use others is the major sin, to recklessly abandon the need to learn to love in the pursuit of sex is to be involved in fornication.
